The sun is shining, the varnish is setting and the weeks continue to roll. Here is the usual look ahead at a few of the art events worth perusing over the course of this, hopefully, sunny week in London.

Wednesday 18th is the opening of a new exhibition at Madder 139. It looks like it may well be mighty interesting. '1 RPM Day Time Stars Project' by Kaoru Tsunoda is multi layered; a composition which explores our own identity and, indeed, existence. Through a precise and meticulous construction, Tsunoda 'breathes fire' into the tangible and orchestrates the mysteries of the universe into something beautiful, even harmonic. For more information on this exhibition follow this link.

The following evening of the 19th sees a private view at the William Angel Gallery of new work by Ross Jones. Ross is a hugely talented drawer and his unique and signature style is well worth seeing. He uses an interesting and washed out grey pallet at all times, regardless of whether he is drawing or painting. Minimalist, linear and almost utopian imagery are what one can expect to find at this exhibition. The way Ross manages to conjure up so many wild and deep thoughts from such simple imagery is a wonderful talent and an equally wonderful experience for the viewer. For further details click here.

RCA printmaking interim show at the Cafe Gallery opens at 11am on the 20th. I went to the 2nd year one last week and it was plenty worth the journey down to Southwark. So no doubt it will be an engaging experience to see what the 1st year students are doing at the moment. Printmaking is an interesting course as it is seeming to expand further and further away from the traditional 2D imagery associated with the practice. There were video pieces and installations scattered all about the space last week and it was interesting to see. For more information click on these words written here.

If on Saturday you are still hungry for some art then there is a private view at Vilma Gold of new work from the German artist Thomas Helbig. He will be exhibiting a new series of drawings, paintings and sculptures. Here are further details about the event.
