Ingnes Idee What a grand thing it is when the sun is fat in the morning sky casting a guillotined bronze......

What a grand thing it is when the sun is fat in the morning sky casting a guillotined bronze strip through my morning drawn blinds. Yes, indeed. Today has been a good one thus far. So fittingly I feel it is that I stumbled across this wonderful collective of artists called 'Inges Idee'.

They are a group of four artists from Germany. Their projects are predominantly based upon public art endeavors. Such as piercing a building with a big earring, building a football pitch with a river as the centre line and erecting garden gnomes with mighty red hats next to train lines. Often funny, always engaging.

Their projects conjure up questions of space and its uses in my mind, breaking down traditional brackets in infrastructure and nature alike. I would love to see one of their projects 'in the real' because the scale and colour both appear to be bold and important for the over all effect of the work.
