Having been offered solo shows at T1+2 Gallery and Eyestorm Gallery in London, Piers Jackson is currently exhibiting as part of Texas' Dallas Art Fair. Jackson’s work embodies a belief in geometric truth as an expression that transcends the need for intellectual comprehension because symbols and forms communicate directly and imediately with the viewer. The artist removes himself from the frame, allowing the decision making process – of composition and form - to be determined by geometric fact. Gold leaf in Jackson’s work operates both visually and symbolically, acting as an interface between the works' subject and a system of references. The tetrahedron (a form used in these works) originates from the ancient Egyptians, a civilization also known as the first manufacturers of gold leaf.

The Rose Window, Full Moon and Venus all exemplify the high production values synonymous with Piers Jackson’s practice. For Jackson although the tetrahedron is apparently absent from the work, it determines the whole image as the concentric circles are given form by cross cutting and dissecting the tetrahedron itself. Measuring and bedecking, he guilds the images into a sculptural form (The Rose Window, The Golden Wheel).
