In the distance standing at the edge of the visible, wanderers confront the infinite void. Irina de Bertier de Sauvigny’s photographs capture the dynamic of humanity sublimated by nature. Fascinated by 19th century romantic paintings and inspired by Turner and Casper David Friedrich, this body of work offers an allegorical journey into romantic landscapes, aiming to question our relationship with space and infinitude. Irina de Bertier de Sauvigny graduated last year from studying MA Photography at London College of Communication.
