Faqs
What is emerging art?

Emerging art is the new, experimental side of contemporary art. It is the work of young artists at the forefront of artistic development yet to establish themselves and established artists pushing in new directions. From this pool, murmurART displays only the best and most talented emerging artists of distinct promise.

How is the art selected?

The artists chosen by murmurART are rigourously selected, by our expert panel. The number of artists represented is strictly limited to a select number displaying outstanding talent, potential and commitment. We are keen to show any discipline, from painting and sculpture to photography, video, performance, printmaking and drawing. For more details see Artist Selection.

Can I see the piece in person?

The murmurART website shows high quality photography to provide accurate detail in the zoom and there is expert writing around each piece of art to introduce the viewer to the ideas involved in it.  We also offer a Full 14-day refund to all purchases made online if for any reason the buyer is not completely happy. We can also arrange viewings if you would like to see the piece in person before buying, and would be happy to take you on a studio visit if you would like to see it and discuss it with an artist.

I have a few questions about a piece…

We would gladly talk to you about any piece of art on the site and answer any comments or questions you have about it. Call us on 0207 221 4464 or email on info@murmurart.com

How do I commission work from an artist?

Many artists enjoy working towards a goal or theme. If you wish to enquire about commissions from other artists, or propose a project, please contact us on commissions@murmurart.com. Although we welcome proposals for any artist, it should be noted that each case will be taken on its merits and we cannot guarentee that artists will accept commissions.

Can I pre-order future work by an artist?

Yes. We work closely with our artists and would be able to discuss their future work with you. If you would like to discuss pre-orders or enquire about an artist’s future, please don't hesitate to contact us on 0207 221 4464 or info@murmurart.com.

Do the prices include VAT and Delivery?

VAT is included on all prices quoted. Delivery is included in the case of non-fragile items, but not for bigger, more fragile or more expensive pieces. For more information see Delivery.

What are the payment options? What currency am I billed in?

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch and Amex. All purchases are billed in GBP Sterling (£).

Is the artwork insured in transit?

Whether transported by one of our art transportation partner for fragile items or DHL for non-fragile items all artwork will be insured during delivery. If, by your choosing, you use DHL for fragile items they will not be insured.

When delivered through DHL, any damages should be reported to murmurART on 0207 221 4464 or delivery@murmurart.com. For items sent by professional art transport partners, they should be contacted directly.

What is your returns policy?

We are happy to accommodate any changes of heart when purchasing one of our artist's work. A buyer unhappy with their purchase from murmurART can return the piece within 14 days for a full refund. The buyer will have to cover the delivery costs when returning the work to the artist. See returns for more information.
